I used my leather sofa like I would use a sticky note - repeatedly and without hesitation. It seemed to have stuck, at least for a little while. The problem was that it started to peel off the sofa as soon as it got wet or moved around. When I tried to hang it on the wall, it kept curling up and falling off.

To be honest, the car didn't seem to care about its fragile adhesive properties - it managed to puncture a thin layer of plastic when it landed on it for just a second.

My cat, affectionately known as Mr Whiskers, had always been notorious for his love of scratching furniture - which usually meant the sofa. I'd lost count of how many times he'd ruined it in the past. A wise friend once told me that maybe my home was not quite feline-friendly enough.

To be honest, I thought the new material might have changed everything - perhaps something softer and more comfortable for Mr Whiskers' sensitive paws?
