Product Reviews

Name: Review:
I was thoroughly impressed with the indoor camera and its ability to provide me with a sense of security as I can now see who's approaching my home door without having a clear view from other angles. The ease of setup on the app is also a huge plus, allowing me to seamlessly integrate with Alexa for notifications when motion is detected.

I was particularly pleased with the picture quality during both day and night, which helps alleviate any concerns I may have had about who's visiting my house at different times of day. And, as an added bonus, the sync module included in the camera has allowed me to check in on it from anywhere throughout the day.

When you consider the price of this blink system, it becomes clear that you're getting a lot for your money - an absolute steal, really. With lower pricing, the quality of components is noticeably better and that's reflected in the image quality, particularly with standard resolution up to 1080p at night.

The battery-powered camera has received top marks from me, offering a positive two-year battery life and producing images that are strong enough for surveillance purposes - even in moderate light. In fact, it's been able to send notifications within around 10 seconds of an incident occurring, which is incredibly fast. I've also got five external cameras monitoring the outside aspects of our house, including the drive with a mains powered floodlight, three internal cameras that can be used for both pan-tilt and live streaming - one of them has even got a built-in pan tilt feature to monitor the kitchen and dog.

I think the blink mini cameras are particularly good, being battery-powered allows you to place them anywhere without restriction. This indoor camera is also worth mentioning as it enhances surveillance in our home by monitoring areas that require enhanced security measures. With an annual subscription to this system I already subscribe to, I find the useful trial subscription offers valuable additional short-term value.

Notifications take around 10 seconds to come through via mobile phone using 4/5g and about three seconds to reach us through Echo Show using our existing wifi system - with each notification taking a further 10 seconds to view. Accessing video clips is also slightly slower than it was for the main camera, but overall I've found these cameras useful as an alarm rather than a high-quality image recorder.

I was initially excited to use this camera to record workmen completing my social housing home, a space I've had issues with before where pests like snails and slugs have left behind slimy trails. They weren't there when they said they would be, so that's what led me to buy it. The motion detector was making the cameras go off all the time, which made me think maybe reducing sensitivity or temperature could help. I ended up maxing out the sensitivity on all three cameras and placed them strategically around my kitchen where I suspected the little pest might be coming in. Every morning for a week, I caught exactly 65 videos of it trying to slime its way through the camera's view. I looked forward to seeing what it would do next, but then I realized that bleach had ruined everything, including my kitchen and walls. So I waited until I saw any sign of it again and positioned the cameras in a new spot - one on the back of the cupboard where there was space for it to hide.

I took a bunch of screenshots to make sure it was still trying to slime its way through the camera's view. Next morning, another 70 clips came out, but I didn't get any idea what it was or even realize that I had an image on my kitchen worktop that showed what looked like a fat slug. That evening, I decided to take action and alarmed the cameras, so I could finally see what this creature was up to.

The next morning, 75 clips came out - almost 25% of the memory stick's storage. The camera turned its side, and sure enough, there it was - sliming past my kitchen sink and making a mess in the cupboards. But then I realized that it wasn't just coming into my kitchen and slithering around my appliances anymore; it had also been using the boiler pipes gap to get up into the area underneath.

I finally managed to squeeze some slug out of there by pulling away the boiler cover, and when I looked closer, I saw a well-worn track all over my walls. It was clear that this creature had been living in me kitchen for weeks, slithering its way through my appliances and making a mess everywhere it went.

I have to say, the quality of both day and night recording is exceptional - every morning and evening I get some new footage or a new slug trail on my cupboards. It's not just the camera that's good; there are also other features like zone monitoring and audio recording capabilities.
